Key Cards and HoM!?!?
A week ago my account was hacked.
I was'nt that bothered as I had put all my Elite armour and Rare Minipet's in my HoM. I e-mailed NCsoft to re-activate my account a week ago(It automatically gets blocked once you get hacked for safety reasons), I got a fresponce today saying they wont unblock unless they have the key cards(which I lost). But on no-whare does it say on the small leaflet that comes with the card that I should keep the card for future referance. This is completely unfair, Since I gave them everything from my password to my username, to my address that the game was registered to and how old my account was. Although completely disapointed I will never get my account back. I will have to live with it. My question is: In GW2 you are going to be able to transfer your HoM over from GW1, Will I be able to do this using me GW account details(Even though its blocked for security reasons), or do I need to have to type in the 25-digit key cards (Which I lost)?? Thanks in advance |

you are suppose to keep your keycodes. pretty sure it says it.
if you have your account linked to an NC-Soft master account and that account doesn't have the same info as your guildwars account and wasn't hacked, you may be able to access your HoM in gw2. gw2 will link to gw1 through your nc-soft master account. at least i think that is what the speculation is |

Are you sure they said you must supply the keys?
Or was it the generic "we're trying to rpove it is you" list of details? I.E Name, address, cards used for purchases, account name, character names and so on... they always ask for that stuff for any account based support, you don't have to provide your keys if you can provide the rest of the data. I went through the same problem as you only last week and I didn't provide them. |

It depends on when and where you purchased your game. My GW Prophecies, purchased in early 2006 in the USA, has the access key printed inside the CD case. No where does it state I must keep the key as proof of ownership. I believe that was started later in the the game's life when hacking became a serious problem.
